"At Wayne UNC Health Care, we know our patients are more than the health conditions that bring them through the door. That’s why we focus on treating the whole patient; listening and showing our patients we care about their individual needs.

So, what impact can we have when we deliver care this way? For our patients and their families, we know the impact can be personal and long lasting. At the same time, we also know the impact is far bigger than all of us.

In 2019 alone, our team cared for thousands of our friends, family members and neighbors. We delivered over 1,300 babies and performed more than 9,000 surgeries. Our team also provided a staggering $22.4 million in uncompensated care. This is care we provide to patients and families, regardless of their ability to pay.
