Recipe: Fresh Fruit Popsicles

Few things are better than a cold popsicle on a warm day. But the ones for sale at the grocery store are often loaded with added sugar. Try these homemade versions for a wholesome treat. You’ll need popsicle molds and handles. Then, just pick your flavor.

Strawberry Banana

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 1 large banana
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Bananas are a great source of potassium.
  2. Pour the fruit mix into popsicle molds and insert the handles.
  3. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

Ginger Peach

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 2 ripe peaches
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Ginger is good for settling an upset stomach.
  2. Pour the fruit mix into popsicle molds and insert the handles.
  3. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

Pineapple Whip

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups cubed pineapple
  • 1 cup diced mango
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Pineapple is a great source of vitamin C.
  2. Pour the fruit mix into popsicle molds and insert the handles.
  3. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight.

Watermelon Lime

Ingredients

  • 4 cups watermelon, cubed and seeds removed
  • 1 lime, zest and juice

Instructions

  1. Add the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. Watermelon consists of 92 percent water and is great for hydration.
  2. Pour the fruit mix into popsicle molds and insert the handles.
  3. Freeze for 8 hours or overnight.
