Visiting Clergy Information

The Pastoral Care Department of UNC Health Wayne welcomes your presence here at the Hospital. We are thankful for the care and support you offer your congregants and their families while they are patients here at our facility. We are here to support your efforts and to offer you the information and assistance you need as you visit members of your congregation.

Application for Clergy ID Badge

Ordained ministers serving as pastors of local churches within a 50-mile radius of UNC Health Wayne should apply for a permanent Clergy ID Badge. Applications are available at the Information Desk or the Pastoral Care, both located at the visitor’s entrance. Badges are made after approval from Pastoral Care.

Please fill out the application completely, including the certification portion, and return to the information desk at the visitor’s entrance of the Hospital or mail to the following address:

Completed applications are processed by the Pastoral Care Department, usually within two weeks. You will receive a letter stating whether or not your application has been approved. Enclosed with your letter of approval, you will find a Clergy ID Authorization form that you will need to bring with you and present to the Access and Badging Office located on the Ground Floor just beyond the cafeteria. Once you receive your Clergy ID Badge, you are required to wear it during your visitation with patients in the hospital.
