Industrial Rehabilitation
Help your employees get back on the job safely after a work-related injury. Explore industrial rehabilitation services at UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro.
Functional Capacity Evaluations
Ask us to measure injured employees’ performance on tests and exercises related to their job. During a thorough functional capacity evaluation, you’ll learn if a worker can return to their position—or needs work conditioning to restore job-related skills.
Work Conditioning
After an injury, work conditioning helps employees safely practice and regain the physical abilities needed for their position. With one-on-one guidance from a physical therapist, they’ll rebuild strength and coordination during two- to four-hour sessions. Because the appointments last longer than other physical therapy sessions, your employees will increase stamina as they work toward resuming eight-hour workdays.
Job Site Analysis
Find out whether an injured employee’s environment may need changes for a safe return to work. We’ll visit your workplace to examine the job’s physical demands and setting, including:
- Movements, skills, and strength required
- Noise, light, and temperature
- Pace of work
We may recommend changes to a worker’s job or environment so they can more easily complete tasks.
